Since it shares many of the same fundamental features, model prices, and even port arrangements with the Lenovo IdeaPad Y540, the Lenovo IdeaPad 元40 is primarily a design update. The IdeaPad 元40 is positioned between Lenovo’s own 15-inch business ThinkPad X1 and the gaming-focused Legion Y545 family, however, it was more of a mid-2019 introduction that was a technology refresh of the heavier Legion portfolio.
